We were commissioned by Blue Bottle to work with Jensen Architects on all the custom millwork in this shoebox-sized Blue Bottle location on Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice, CA. We recommended salvaged bigleaf maple for this project to compliment the lightness of the space and the blue of the LED screen in the back of the cafe. All the millwork - cash wrap counter, condiment counter, and floating shelves were done in salvaged 10/4 and 8/4 bigleaf maple. The cash wrap counter is built up of 5 courses of solid maple all from a single salvaged maple tree.
