We were commissioned by Blue Bottle to fabricate a 7' diameter communal table for this gallery-like cafe in the 1920 WC Morse building on Broadway in Oakland. We collaborated with Jensen on the design of the table and recommended fumed ebony oak (a fumed, FSC-certified white oak) to go with the hot-rolled steel base and center plate and suggested using regular white oak for the exposed splines.
Blue Bottle has since had us design and fabricate exterior benches, which were done in white oak and powdercoated steel.
